Location

Location

  • Hotel Peter and Paul is located in the Marigny, just outside the French Quarter.

    The hotel sits in a quieter, residential pocket of the city, about a 10–15 minute walk to the Quarter and a short stroll to Frenchmen Street for live music and nightlife. Close enough to wander. Far enough to sleep.

  • Hotel Peter & Paul is approximately a 10–15 minute walk to the French Quarter.

    The route is flat, easy, and best taken slowly.

  • The hotel is about 25–30 minutes by car from Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport (MSY).

    Taxis and rideshares are readily available at the airport. We recommend arranging transportation in advance for late-night arrivals.

    Car-share services like Lyft and Uber also serve the New Orleans area. We're happy to hail you an Uber and post the charge to your room.

Arrival

  • Check-in: 3PM

  • Check-out: 11AM

  • Check-in begins at 3:00 PM. Check-out is at 11:00 AM.

    If you arrive early or depart later in the day, we’re happy to hold your luggage.

    Early check-in and late check-out are available upon request but are not guaranteed.

    We’ll always do our best to accommodate, depending on availability.

  • Check-in takes place in the School House building.

    The hotel spans several restored historic buildings, including a church, convent, rectory, and schoolhouse, so the property can feel a bit like a small village at first arrival.

  • Guests arriving after 8PM should use the side entrance rather than the main front entrance.

    Additional arrival instructions will be included in your pre-arrival communication.

  • Overnight parking is available for $15 plus taxes per night in our parking lot. Out of respect for our residential neighborhood, please avoid street parking.

  • Yes, guests enjoy daily pool access during their stay. Marigny Lido, our hotel pool and bar is open 10am - 6pm.

  • A basic gym, Downtown Fitness, is three blocks away at St. Claude and St. Roch. Ask at Reception for a $15 pass.

  • No, the hotel does not offer traditional room service.

    For guests looking to linger a little longer in bed, we do offer Brioche in Bed.

  • Yes, curated in-room amenities are available for purchase. Offerings may include cheese plates, mini cakes, champagne, milk and cookies, and other celebratory touches for birthdays, anniversaries, or special occasions. Please contact the hotel in advance to arrange amenities prior to arrival.

  • Yes, the front desk offers a small selection of commonly requested items for purchase.

    Items may include Tylenol, Advil, bandages, and other travel essentials.

  • Yes, WiFi is available throughout the property.

Rooms

  • No two rooms at Hotel Peter & Paul are exactly alike. Because the property is housed within restored historic buildings, room layouts and architectural details vary throughout the hotel.

  • We can guarantee room type, but not bed type. Requests are always noted and accommodated whenever possible, though availability may vary.

  • No, only select rooms include bathtubs.

    If a bathtub is important to your stay, we recommend contacting the hotel directly before booking.

  • Elevators are not available in all buildings.

    Due to the historic nature of the property, some guest rooms are accessible by stairs only. Please contact us in advance if you have accessibility needs.

  • Rooms are generally quiet, especially compared to the French Quarter.

    However, as with any historic building in an active neighborhood, some ambient noise may be part of the experience.

  • The hotel offers one ADA-accessible guest room that accommodates a roll-in shower chair. Additionally, a removable shower bench is available upon request for other guest rooms, subject to availability. Please contact the hotel directly prior to arrival so we can best accommodate your needs.

Food & Drink

  • Yes, The Elysian Bar is located on-site at Hotel Peter & Paul.

    Set in the former rectory, the bar and restaurant serves breakfast, brunch, dinner, and drinks in a space that’s equal parts grand and intimate.

  • Reservations are recommended, especially for dinner and weekend brunch.

    Walk-ins are welcome when space allows, but the room tends to fill quickly.

Policies

  • No, Hotel Peter and Paul is a boutique hotel with a more independent, residential style of hospitality.

    Unlike traditional full-service hotels, the property does not offer amenities such as valet parking, a concierge desk, or traditional room service.

  • Dogs are welcome at $25 a night, plus tax, but other pets are not permitted.

  • Smoking of any kind is strictly prohibited inside guest rooms and on balconies and outdoor areas, both by the hotel and Louisiana law. If you choose to smoke in your room, we offer our deepest condolences alongside a non-negotiable minimum fine of $250.
