Square Dance NOLA welcomes you to the joy of community dance with live fiddle music. All dances are introduced in a brief practice round by the caller Dan Wally Lang, then the string band starts to play and the dance begins. From the community traditions of Southern Appalachia, dances require a partner but you can come solo and find a partner before each dance. The roles and calls are genderless (lead and follow) and inclusivity is the point of it all.
